The Yamaha Pacifica… From Goodwill to Great Guitar!
In this first installment of “New Old Guitar Day” the featured guitar is a Yamaha Pacifica which by serial dates back to Sept. 2002. This 20 year old gem has a few scars and was dirty as crap when it arrived.
My goal with this NOG is to get a great setup, no upgrades and only repairs as needed from the parts bin. The only part that needed replaced was the neck pickup. With a big swimming pool route I felt some sheilding was necessary.
I prefer tape to paint. A roll of tape will get me a dozen guitars at half the price of the paint.
