Well, to be honest, the price tag was the 1st thing to draw my attention. At $89 at the time of this writing, it is definitely the very top, or is that bottom, of the affordable guitars list.
For less than $10, a new pickguard gives the guitar a custom, more vintage look and feel.
In most cases I would upgrade to a 4 position switch in order to have both Series and Parallel, but this time I decided to just use the existing 3 position switch and have the center position always in Series. The diagram I used is below:
